Dr. med. Alexander Steinhoff is a specialist physician in psychiatry and psychotherapy. He treats patients with complex emotional and psychological difficulties under specialist medical responsibility and clear clinical indication. He completed his specialist training at university hospitals in Switzerland. He previously served as Medical Director of a specialized addiction clinic in Zurich, and subsequently worked with an international clientele. His areas of focus include Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). He holds certifications in Interventional Psychiatry (SGIP-SSPI) and in Addiction Medicine (SSAM). Dr. Steinhoff is also a board member of ISTDP Switzerland. Treatment is individualized and follows evidence-based standards, diagnostic rigor, and ongoing monitoring of progress. Psychological, physical, and affective interactions are taken into account where relevant to diagnosis and therapy.
